Nothing Compares (A Bad Boy Romance Book 1) Page 7
Everything seemed to be working out perfectly.
After work, I rushed home and showered. Allison and Hollis came over and were busy in my closet picking out my outfit when I emerged from the bathroom.
“I’m not wearing that,” I stated, as Hollis held up a Halloween costume from last year. It was a shiny black dress that hugged my hips. I had worn it under a long, black trench coat so you couldn’t really see how skimpy it was.
“We are going to a party, not to walk the streets,” I laughed. “Besides, you all can torture me with dressing me up tomorrow.”
Sighing, Hollis put the dress back.
“These look hot on you,” Allison stated, throwing a pair of my favorite dark denim jeans at me.
“Ok, this is a start,” I stated.
Turning, I wiggled into the jeans and waited while Allison handed me a tight silver top.
Once I was dressed and fit their standards, I escorted the girls out.
“Now remember, your mom thinks you are at Holli’s house tonight,” Allison yelled.
“Sshh, you are terrible,” I whisper/ yelled.
“Oh, come on, I am reminding you. Besides, we all know you are a terrible liar. When your mom was leaving this evening, I reminded her we were having a girl's weekend. She barely heard me, but I covered your ass,” Allison stated, crossing her arms.
“Thanks,” I said, rushing over and pulling both Allison and Hollis in for a hug. “I will see you all tomorrow.”
“Have fun tonight,” Hollis said, smiling and offering me a naughty look.
Mortified, I jumped in my car and drove over to Talon’s house.
Pulling into his driveway, I was surprised to see that he was sitting out on his porch.
Getting out of my car, I grabbed my bag which Allison and Hollis had insisted on packing for me. I dreaded to see what all they had included.
Talon took my bag and then leaned in and kissed me on the cheek. “I was worried you weren’t going to come,” he said, taking my hand.
“Sorry, it took me forever to get ready after work. Allison and Hollis came over and bombarded me,” I laughed.
“Oh yeah,” he said.
There was a chill to his voice, and I could tell he was upset that I hadn’t called or texted him. To be honest, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. He knew I had worked and had to go home and get ready first.
“Are you mad?” I asked, stopping and making him look at me.
“Not mad, just disappointed that you didn’t think to let me know,” he said. Dropping my hand, he stuffed his hands in his jean pockets and looked away.
His jaw clenched and there it was, the temper that he tried so hard to keep locked away.
I could play this one of two ways. First, I could get mad and yell at him. Or, I could sweeten him up. He had been really looking forward to his night and the last thing I wanted to do was fight.
Leaning in, I placed my arms around him and forced him to fall into me. Trailing my fingers down his chest, I could feel his body react under my touch. “Talon, don’t be mad. Yes, I should have called, but I was getting ready to see you. I wanted to look good and make sure that we would have a perfect night tonight,” I said, staring into his eyes.
Talon glanced down at me and the anger seemed to disappear. “Really?”
“Of course. Come on, it’s getting cold out here. Let’s go inside,” I said, tugging on his shirt.
We walked inside and stood for a moment in the foyer. The house was silent and most of the lights were off.
“Let’s go watch a movie,” Talon said, placing a foot on the stairs.
This was it. We were going to spend the night together. Alone. In his bed.
I followed him upstairs and there was an air of nervousness floating between us. I think we both knew what possibilities the night could hold, but I also knew Talon wouldn’t pressure me. However, if things got hot and heavy, which they always did, I wasn’t sure tonight I would be able to stop us.
Inside Talon’s room, he finally stopped and turned and looked at me. I had dressed up, which I typically didn’t do. I was normally a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl.
“Wow, you look great,” he said breathlessly, dropping my bag beside his bed.
He stormed across the room, and took my face in his hands, crushing our lips together.
The kiss was deep, with a sweet longing and a strong taste of desire. His hands went under my shirt and my body shivered from his cold touch. Lifting my shirt over my head, we wasted no time removing one another’s shirts and pants. Panting, Talon took a step back and his eyes raked over my clad body. I was only in a pair of black panties and matching bra. A nice touch thanks to Hollis.
“Damn, babe. I don’t know if I can control myself tonight,” Talon said.
My eyes traveled down his body and saw that he was more than ready for me. His hardness was pushing against his boxers and I couldn’t help but lick my lips. I was practically drooling.
“Maybe you shouldn’t,” I breathed.
A smirk crossed his face before he lifted me off the ground and tossed me onto his bed. Bouncing, I laughed as he crawled on top of me. His lips found mine and my hands wove through his hair. Feelings of ecstasy washed over me as my body now craved his touch. His lips began to travel down my throat until he was caressing and sucking on my tender breasts. It felt so good and I couldn’t help the moans that escaped my mouth.
“Talon,” I called out, begging and pleading with him to love me in any way he could.
“Mallory, I want you so bad,” he said, his lips now moving down to my stomach. I arched my back, unable to control my body any longer.
“Talon, I don’t think I can wait any longer,” I said.
Stopping his descent, Talon looked up at me and we locked eyes. “Babe, I won’t do anything you don’t want to do, but if you are going to stop me, then you need to do it now,” he stated.
I could see the need in his eyes and honestly, I didn’t want him to stop. This was a part of myself that I needed to give to him. He had my heart and mind, now he needed my body.
“I want this,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
Then, slowly and carefully, Talon traced the top of my panties as his eyes remained locked on mine. He never broke contact as he dipped one finger inside of me, feeling how wet and ready I was for him.
Nodding my head, I bit my lip, urging him to continue.
To not stop.
To never stop.
He removed my panties, tossing them somewhere behind us. Feeling braver and more confident than I had ever before, I pulled down his boxers and slid my hands around his large shaft. He was so ready for me.
Leaning down, Talon placed his lips on mine, kissing me in the most passionate way imaginable. Slowly sliding inside me, Talon began gently rocking, his movements like a rhythm to a love song. My body moved in time with his, allowing him to fill me as our bodies danced together. It didn’t hurt as I had expected it to, but that was possibly because Talon was being gentle with me. He knew exactly how to treat my body.
As I felt my climax building, his movements became more intense. I couldn’t help when I screamed out his name, my nails ranking down his back as I cried out in pure pleasure.
“Roll over,” Talon instructed, kissing my shoulder as he helped me move to my stomach. Pulling my hips, he angled himself behind me and then thrust back into me.
The movement caught me off guard, but before I could react, I was right back in the rhythm and all I could think about was how fantastic this felt.
“Talon,” I screamed out again, as my second climax rushed over me.
I didn’t know it was possible, but with each time I came, I instantly craved more.
“Look at us babe,” Talon ordered. I looked up and saw that his bedroom mirror was giving us a show of our love making. It was undoubtedly the hottest thing I had ever seen.
Talon’s face was struck with desire as he watched us. I smiled at him, sh
owing him that I loved him more than anything. “Shit, I’m going to come,” Talon screamed, falling out of me as he unleashed his own climax. I watched as his eyes closed and his face tensed in nothing but bliss.
Damn, I loved this guy more than words could describe.
Falling next to me, Talon pulled me into his arms. Running his fingers through my hair, we lay there, catching our breath and relishing in the moment we had just shared.
I was floating on cloud nine and nothing could ruin how I felt.
“Are you alright?” Talon asked, after a few minutes.
Lifting up on my elbow, I placed my lips to his and kissed him. “Yes, I am perfect. That was perfect. We are perfect,” I smiled.
Cupping my face, Talon kissed me back, hugging my naked body to his. We were both glistening with sweat, but I didn’t care.
“Mallory, I love you,” Talon breathed.
“I love you, too,” I said, tears filling my eyes.
I loved everything about us and wanted to memorize this night forever.
Chapter 12
I woke the next morning with Talon’s strong arms wrapped around me.
Rolling over, I found my phone on his floor. I could already see the device lighting up with texts from the girls. No doubt, they were wanting to know how my night had gone.
Well, we hadn’t watched a movie, but we sure had made our own live action one. I would tell them when they came over tonight for the party. For now, I wanted to nestle back in Talon’s arms and enjoy the morning.
By the time Talon woke up, I was starving. I showered and dressed as he made us scrambled eggs and toast. I reveled in his scent as I looked over his spice body wash.
“Hey, breakfast is ready,” Talon called, as I finished getting dressed.
“I will be right down,” I called.
“No, I brought it up to you. Wanted to serve you breakfast in bed,” he yelled back.
I smiled into the mirror, thinking about last night, as I pulled my hair into a high ponytail. I wondered if the butterflies would ever go away. I sure hope not.
When I walked out of the bathroom, Talon was standing by the bed. His hair was messy from last night and he had on a white tee and blue basketball shorts. I loved him this way.
“Wow, you look amazing,” Talon said, walking over to me.
Pulling me in his arms, I couldn’t help the laugh that escaped me. “How can you make me feel some kind of way with just a look?” I asked, kissing him.
“It’s a gift,” he teased. “I love how every time I see you, I swear you couldn’t look any more beautiful, but then the next day, I feel the same again. Like today, you are glowing.”
“I’m wearing jeans and a plain gray shirt. I hardly look beautiful,” I said, blushing a bit.
Talon could say the sweetest things that could make my heart melt and my toes curl all at once.
“You know, sometimes you still make me nervous when I see you walk into a room. I can’t believe you are mine,” he breathed, nibbling my ear.
Oh. My. Gosh.
“You are about to get a repeat of last night,” I sighed. “But, our breakfast will get cold.”
“I can make more,” Talon growled, lifting me up and taking me back to the bed.
In no time, we were back under the sheets and I screamed his name four more times that morning.
By mid-afternoon, I had showered again, and we were napping on the couch, finally watching a movie.
If we were going to stay up late tonight, we needed to rest. Sitting up, I remembered I had my backpack in my car.
“Hey, why don’t we get some homework done before everyone comes over,” I offered.
Laughing, Talon looked at me like I was insane. “Really?”
“Yes,” I scoffed. “You know, now that I think about it, I don’t ever hear you talk about homework or studying,” I said, suddenly getting serious.
“Because it’s not a big deal to me,” Talon shrugged.
“You know I care about my grades. Maybe we should schedule time once or twice a week to do homework. We could do it together,” I added.
Sitting up, Talon began to kiss my neck. “I know something else we could do together,” he breathed, his warm breath tickling my skin.
It was hard not to give in, especially after last night and this morning, but I needed to be strong about this.
Lately, I have been killing myself to keep everyone happy. I refused to let my grades slip, which meant I was staying up way later at night to get my schoolwork done.
“I’m serious,” I said, pushing him off of me.
Sighing, Talon held up in hands in defense. “Ok, you are right. We can start studying together. But, I can’t promise I will always keep my hands to myself,” he smiled.
“Sounds good to me.” I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. I was giddy and now, we could get our schoolwork done and I could enjoy my Saturday night.
After two hours of studying, which mostly consisted of Talon complaining and trying to take my shirt off, we finally got our work done. And, just in time to hear cars start to pull up.
Allison and Hollis arrived first. I knew they would. Mike pulled in just as they entered the house. He was carrying bags of ice and announced he had invited a ‘few more’ friends over. I wasn’t sure what that meant, but it sounded like more people than I would probably like.
Then, a few cars filled with guys from the baseball team and a bunch of girls who I had seen at school, all piled into Talon’s house.
Music began to play from speakers from the television and I saw a few guys opening twenty-four packs of beer.
To be honest, I had never been to a big party. Well, outside of birthday parties.
Talon held onto my hand as he welcomed people who he knew and many who he didn't. I guess word had gotten around our small town that there was a party happening.
As the night wore on, I realized that most people were getting drunk. I wasn’t sure where a bunch of high school kids found alcohol, but I assumed it wasn’t very hard to do.
“Are you having fun?” Talon asked, as we stood by the living room couch, watching a group of kids taking shots.
Talon had started drinking at some point and while he had remained pretty sober, I could see his eyes starting to haze over.
“Yeah, I enjoy the people watching,” I admitted.
“Maybe you need a drink,” he said, his words slurring just a little.
Maybe he was right. Everyone else seemed to be having a great time and no one seemed out of control. I had been so uptight lately; it wouldn’t hurt to loosen up a little.
“Sure, go get me something,” I said.
I watched Talon saunter off toward the kitchen. Allison and Hollis came up beside me and I noticed they were out of breath.
“Where have you all been?” I asked, smirking.
“Dancing!” Allison shouted over the noise. “Come dance with us,” she urged, pulling on my arm.
I couldn’t see Talon through the crowd now, so I figured it would be ok. He would find me.
I allowed Allison and Hollis to pull me to where a bunch of people were dancing. Before I even made it to where everyone was, I felt a hand reach out and grab me. Assuming it was Talon, I spun around, ready to pull him in to dance with me.
However, I was mistaken.
Alex, the guy who I had recognized from my algebra class, was swaying back and forth as he tried to smile at me. He was clearly drunk and confused.
“Hey, I haven’t seen you dance at all tonight,” he slurred.
“Yeah,” I said, pulling my hand from his grip. “I was with Talon,” I stated.
Laughing, Alex rolled his eyes. “Come on, you aren’t really dating Talon, are you?” he sneered.
Now, he was starting to piss me off. “Yes, why is that your business?” I asked, crossing my arms.
Alex was a very brave dude, or maybe he had a death wish, because next thing I knew, he had his arms around my waist and had pul
led me next to his chest. I could smell the foul stench of beer coming off his warm breath. I tried to not to gag as I fought to get out of his hold.
“Hey, leave her alone,” Hollis shouted, smacking Alex on the arm.
Alex seemed unfazed by us. “Come on, you know you and I could have some fun,” he slurred in my ear.
Suddenly, I felt myself falling back. Allison caught me before I went crashing to the ground with Alex.
When I looked up, Talon was standing over Alex, seething as he screamed. “What the fuck do you think you are doing?” Talon raged.
“Calm down, man. She was flirting with me,” Alex lied.
Enraged, I opened my mouth to yell at him, but Talon moved so fast, I barely caught sight of what was happening. The world stopped and everyone in the room went silent. Talon lifted his leg and began kicking Alex as he lay on the ground. A few guys tried to intervene, but Talon only threw them off of him. He was seeing red and nothing could stop him now. For the first time, I was afraid of Talon. He was like a bull with only one thing on his mind: destroying Alex. I wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol, his temper, or a dangerous combination of both; but Talon was out of control.
“Talon!” I screamed, trying to get him to stop.
My words went unheard.
His fists began pounding Alex in the face, and I watched in horror as blood splattered on the hardwood floor and the couch. I heard girls screaming in the background and a few people began rushing toward the front door.
I yelled for Mike, who was already running into the room. Finally, Mike was able to pull Talon off of Alex. I watched in horror as Mike led Talon outside, but what terrified me the most, was Alex who lay motionless on the floor.
I fell to my knees and checked his pulse. Allison was crying next to me, gripping her phone. I knew she was unsure whether to call 911 or not. A few guys helped me lift Alex up and thankfully, he began moaning. He wasn’t dead, but he was hurt badly.
“He needs to go to the hospital,” I said, to everyone and no one all at once.
Shaking his head, a guy lifted Alex up over his shoulder. “No way. He has a football scholarship. If the coach gets news of this, he could get kicked off the team. We will take him home. He should be fine. Probably just a few bruised ribs,” the guy said, as he and his friends left with Alex.
